'Welcome to Gaza!' - Hands Up! Project

The Moon tell me truth exhibition of photographs from poetry by the children of Gaza and beyond took place from 19th August to the end of September 2025 at the Moray House School of Education and Sport.

We launched with a film of the children’s’ prize winning plays ‘Welcome to Gaza!’ organised by the Hands Up! Project, an educational charity teaching English in Palestine online and face to face.

The poetry and plays date from 2023, when the Hands Up! Project asked the children to submit their work for a chance of publication. Heather Kiernan first hosted the poetry exhibition in 2024 at the Scottish Poetry Library – thank you for introducing it to me, Heather.
